General Notes: Husband - John Dodds

He was born in County Monaghan, Ireland, and was reared a farmer. At the age of twenty-two he was ordained an elder in the Secession church for the purpose of holding him in the Secession church. Shortly after, however, he united with the Reformed Presbyterian church.
He came to America in 1820, landing at St. John, New Brunswick. He went to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and thence to Freeport, Pennsylvania, and thence to Middlesex, Butler County, where he died at the age of seventy-four.
He had ten children, of whom Robert was the oldest.
