General Notes: Husband - Samuel H. Leeper
He taught school eight years, beginning at the age of nineteen, receiving a certificate from Thomas Nicholson, the first county superintendent. After this he was a farmer, and owned 116 acres.
He and his wife were members of the United Presbyterian church, and he was a member of Session. He was active in church and school work, and was secretary of the board nine years. He was formerly a Whig, and later a Republican.
