General Notes: Husband - Hon. William Divins


For twenty years he was one of the most successful teachers of his section of Pennsylvania, and also engaged in farming. His fellow citizens often called him to public office, and he served as justice of the peace for a quarter of a century, county auditor for three years, county commissioner for the same length of time, and State representative for two terms. He was a prominent member and deacon of the Baptist Church.
