General Notes: Husband - George Addison Platt

He was brought up in Porter township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania, and there his school education was received. Beginning at the age of eighteen he supported himself. His occupation was that of a farmer, but he was especially a lover of highbred stock. No one in the community took more interest in raising a fancy grade of cattle, sheep, hogs and horses. He had full-blooded Shropshire sheep, blooded Berkshire swine, thoroughbred Guernsey cattle, and was the owner of a full-blooded Belgium mare of high value. His farm in Porter township consisted of eighty-five acres and was bought by him about 1911.
