General Notes: Husband - Franklin T. Dindinger
He was educated in public schools, and on leaving them he worked for many years for the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad. He was at first in the Pittsburgh office of this line, and then, in 1912, became station master in Monaca, where he remained until 1918. The World War was in progress during that year, and Mr. Dindinger proffered his services to the government. He enlisted in the army and was assigned to the 138th Engineers, with duty in Camp Benjamin Harrison, where he remained to the end of the conflict. On returning to civilian life he was for a while with the Internal Revenue office in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. In 1922, President Warren G. Harding appointed him postmaster of Monaca in recognition of his service to the government, and he succeeded G. W. Weinman.
In his church, the First Presbyterian of Monaca, he was a member of the board of trustees, and he was also an elder. He belonged to the post in Monaca of the American Legion; to Rochester Lodge, No. 229, Free and Accepted Masons, in which order he had the thirty-second degree; to the Pittsburgh Consistory of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, and to Syria Temple, in Pittsburgh, of the Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine. He was Master of the Masonic Lodge in 1924.
