General Notes: Husband - Rev. Benjamin Eby

He moved to Canada and settled where Berlin, the county town of Waterloo county later stood; but which was at was at that time an unbroken forest. His farm, like many others in that county, afterwards settled upon by Lancaster county people, was a part of the large tract purchased by the Mennonites.
He was made a minister in the Mennonite church, and succeeded his brother Peter as presiding Bishop of the Mennonites in Canada.
He left a family of eleven children, one of whom also became a minister of the Gospel. Two of his sons became printers, and for many years published a newspaper, and also hymn books and other religious works. The latter being done under the supervision of their father.
