MRS. PARMELIA EAKIN
Mrs. Parmelia Eakin, aged 73 years, died suddenly at 6:30 o'clock Thanksgiving morning in the family apartments at 123 State street. Death was due to heart disease. Mrs. Eakin called her daughter at 5:50 o'clock stating that she was not well. A physician was called immediately and everything done for her relief but she passed away in 30 minutes.
Mrs. Eakin was the widow of S. R. Eakin who dropped dead while feeding his stock at his home in Maple Shade 10 years ago. Three years ago she removed to Oil City from the old home at Maple Shade. She was a member of the Supreme Lodge Ladies of the Maccabees at Port Huron, Mich.
Surviving are the following children: Miss Myrtle Eakin, at home; Charles Eakin, of Van and Mrs. B. A. Pyle of Petrolia, Butler county. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Hannah Swain, of Maple Shade, and Mrs. S. H. Hetzler, of Emlenton.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at Mt. Zion church, Maple Shade and interment will be made in the church cemetery.
