General Notes: Husband - David Shaffer


He came from Somerset County, Pennsylvania, in early life and settled in Laughlinstown, Westmoreland County, where he was a blacksmith by trade. He spent some years in California, but afterwards returned to Laughlinstown and there followed his trade until his death.
He was a Republican in politics, and attended the Evangelical Lutheran church at Ligonier.
