General Notes: Husband - Hiram Benton Jackson
He was reared on a farm, was educated in the common schools, Uniontown public schools and Waynesburg College. Leaving school, he engaged successfully in the business of farming and stock raising. He owned a well improved farm which was heavily underlaid with coal and limestone. He was a democrat and was elected township auditor but declined to serve. He was a member of Ft. Necessity Lodge No. 254, I. O. O. F. at Uniontown. In religious views he was favorable to the doctrines and practices of the Christian or Disciple church.
