General Notes: Husband - James C. Eachus

He was educated in the schools of Greencastle, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, and was a clerk in the store of Prather & Kreps of Greencastle, when in August, 1862, he volunteered as a soldier in the war for the Union, enlisting in Company K, One Hundred and Twenty-sixth Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, for nine months. He served in the Army of the Potomac until the termination of his term of enlistment, and soon afterward located at Pittsburgh. He resided in Pittsburgh, three years after his marriage; then returned to Antrim Township, Franklin County, where he then resided. [HFC 1887, 710]
