General Notes: Husband - Andrew Fillinger
His father was a storekeeper in Germany; both his father and mother died in that country.
Andrew and Joseph were the only children of their parents.
He was born in Germany, and in 1838 or 1839, being then twenty years old, he emigrated to the United States. He had been educated in his native land and reared to agricultural pursuits. He settled first in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, removing to the neighorhood of Pottstown, and then passing the remainder of his life at Mountainville, Lycoming County. In the new country, as in the old, he was a farmer. Politically he was a Democrat, and
religiously a member of the German Reformed church.
