General Notes: Husband - Vincent Dunn
He was reared by his sister Polly C., and learned the trade of cloth dressing. Later he engaged in business for himself, operating a carding mill; still later, he obtained government contracts for harbor and river work, and for a number of years was engaged in that work, building wharves, driving piles for deepening rivers and similar work. Later he settled in the town of Portland, Chautauqua County, New York, where he became a wealthy, prominent citizen. He was a Republican in politics and a member of the Methodist Episcopal church.
