General Notes: Husband - Marion A. Liggett

His early years were spent on the farm of his father, and he obtained a common-school education. After his marriage he located two and a half miles north of Claysville, Washington County, Pennsylvania, where he began farming. He erected a fine dwelling and barn, which afforded an evidence of his prosperity; he also purchased additional land. In politics Mr. Liggett always supported the Democratic party. In religious connection he and his wife were members of the Presbyterian Church at Claysville.
