Beccaria Twp, Clearfield Co, PA

He was a member of an old pioneer family, in whose honor Hegarty's Cross Roads was named.

He was about two years old at the time of the emigration to the new home in the United States. He grew to manhood at his father's farm, and married. He took charge of the homestead, and cared for his parents throughout their declining years. He was a carpenter by trade, and was regarded as one of the substantial citizens of his locality.
