Carlisle, Cumberland Co, PA

For many years he was a leading lawyer and able jurist of Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.

He was in command of the home militia, and became known as Gen. Alexander.

He and his wife had two sons, who died in infancy, leaving no one to perpetuate his name. [HCC 1879, 166]
