General Notes: Husband - James K. Elliott
He learned the trade of plumber and tinner, which he followed for over twenty-five years at Franklin, Pennsylvania, where he was also active in public matters. During the Civil war he served four years in the Union army, as a member of Company I, 142d Pennsylvania Regiment, and was wounded once, in the left forearm. For several terms he was a member of the city council of Franklin. On political questions he was a Democrat. His religious connection was with the Presbyterian Church. He was a well known member of Lodge No. 255, I. O. O. F., which he served as financial secretary for nineteen years. [CAB, 900]
