General Notes: Wife - Jemima Alexander

She married a "Major" Sharp and migrated about 1754 from New Munster in Cecil County, Maryland, in company with her brothers Hezekiah and John McKnitt Alexander to Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Her husband, Major Sharp, has been referred to in certain family records as "Thomas", in others as "John". He was possibly a son of Thomas Sharp, Sr., but his identity remains unfixed. In one of the Sharp family records, this John is said to have been the seventh son of James Sharp who "emigrated from North Ireland and settled in southeastern Pennsylvania near the Maryland line in 1712."

4. Isabella, who married a Rev. Price, grandson of Isabella Price. Their grandson was Gen. Sterling Price, of Missouri.
5. Priscilla, who married Lewis [Unk]; had issue.
6. Jemima, who married Theophilus Alexander Cannon.
