General Notes: Husband - Theophilus Hawkins

He received a liberal education at the common schools of his district, and was reared from boyhood to agricultural pursuits.
He and his wife lived with his aged father on the old family homestead in West Pike Run township. The farm was comprised of ninety-five well-cultivated acres, upon which a comfortable stone residence, a commodious barn, and out-buildings have been erected.
