He lived in Richmond Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, until after marriage, when he removed to Rockdale Township, where he resided three years. In 1874 he located in Cambridge, where he thereafter resided. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Cambridge. He was Constable of the borough four terms; in politics was a Democrat.
