General Notes: Husband - John Duff

---

His boyhood days were spent in attending the common schools and assisting with the labors on the paternal farm. After his marriage he became the owner of one of the best farms in the county, which he cultivated to a high state of perfection. He resided there in a log house, until 1895 when he built a new residence, a substantial and modern farmhouse, but he did not live to occupy it, as his death occurred that year.
