General Notes: Husband - Lewis Davis


He was born in Wales, and came to America about 1800. He followed the trade of a carpenter until the War of 1812, then purchased Davis island, five miles below Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and turned his attention to farming. His first wife died on the ocean while coming to America.
