General Notes: Husband - Dr. John Hanna Donnan
Hickory, Mt. Pleasant Twp, Washington Co, PA
On the retirement of his father-in-law, Dr. White, from the practice, he commenced the practice of medicine, and continued till the autumn of 1861, when declining health warning him of approaching dissolution. After several months of disease and suffering, he died of chronic disease of the liver and bowels, in the forty-seventh year of his age.
He was located at Hickory, Washington County, Pennsylvania, engaged in the practice of medicine from 1849 until 1861. In the latter year, on account of failing health, he gave up practice, but retirement from professional work failed to restore him.
