Mrs. J. W. Domer.
Mrs. Charles Stroup has received word of the death of her sister-in-law, Mrs. J. W. Domer, of Johnstown, which occurred there Wednesday morning. Mrs. Domer, the wife of Rev. J. W. Domer, who was a former pastor of the Rocky Grove Evangelical church, had not been in good health for many years but her death came unexpectedly. She had been able to attend the annual camp meeting at Arbutus Park last month.
Much of Mrs. Domer's life has been spent in the vicinity of Johnstown. They removed there four years ago this fall and her husband has since been presiding elder in his district of the Evangelical Church.
Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Richard Thiel, of Johnstown and two grandchildren, Domer and Mary Kathleen Thiel.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the home 1104 Coufer avenue.
Mrs. Domer was an inspiring Christian woman, ever thoughtful of the other person, patient in her suffering and with a cheerful philosophy which encouraged every one, whose privilege it was to have her for a friend. Her talent as a writer of letters kept her in contact with the friends she learned to love in her husband's different pastorates and the benefit derived from her letters by these acquaintances can not be measured.
