General Notes: Husband - John Maxwell

He learned the cabinet-maker trade in West Middletown, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and worked for a while as a journeyman, a part of the time in Cincinnati, Ohio. About the year 1834 he purchased a farm (in Hopewell township, Washington County?) where he then resided, and engaged in farming and stock-raising.
