Cola A. Dingee
Cola A. Dingee of Route Eight (Box 305A), died Saturday in his residence. He was born in Shinglehouse, Pennsylvania, April 22, 1895 and moved west with his family at the age of three. They settled on the coast in California where he attended schools in Mountain View. He enlisted in the army in Oregon and served in Europe during World War One where he was when the armistice was signed. He moved to
Washington early in 1920 and has made his home here since. He married Ruby L. Lusher in Spokane June 18, 1921, and they lived in Newport until 1930 when they went to Alaska for a two year term with the Bureau of Indian Schools at White Mountain. Shortly after their return they moved to Olympia which has been his home ever since. Mr. Dingee was a member of the Olympia Amateur Movie Club, the American Legion and the South Bay Grange. Survivors are his wife, Ruby L. Dingee, and a sister, Elvira Watson, Shasta, California. A private funeral service will be conducted by the Reverend W. A. MacArthur, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Olympia, this Tuesday morning, starting at ten o'clock, in the chapel of the Lacey Funeral Home. Cremation will follow with inurnment in Forest Memorial Gardens. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, any memorials may be made in the form of donations to the heart fund.
