General Notes: Husband - Price Dilley

He learned the trade of a carder and cloth dresser when young, and followed it for a few years. Enlisting during the Civil war in Company B, One Hundred and Fortieth Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, he served for twenty-seven months, taking part in many battles, campaigns and marches, five of his brothers being in service at the same time. After his marriage he gave up his trade and confined his attention to the care of the farm which he had purchased in Mill Creek Township, Mercer County, PA. Subsequently selling that land, he bought land in Lackawannock Township.
