General Notes: Husband - W. H. Dight


He attended the old Stokely School, and when nineteen years of age learned the trade of a brick-mason, which he followed the greater portion of his life.

He enlisted in 1862 in Company A, One Hundred and Thirty-ninth Pennsylvania Volunteers, and served three years, and was wounded at Cold Harbor. He was commander of Company F, Fifteenth Pennsylvania National Guard, and promoted to major. He was a member of Centreville Post No. 305, G. A. R. He served as a school director and was justice of the peace for over fifteen years. He was a Republican, and by that party was elected county commissioner of Mercer County in 1887.
He and his wife were Presbyterians at North Liberty.
