General Notes: Husband - Philip Diehl, Jr.


He learned the baking trade when a young man in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and where he operated a bakery. He later removed to Curwensville, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, and established the Diehl Bakery, which he conducted for six years. He then returned to Pittsburgh, where he remained two years, and in 1901 he moved to Butler. He worked for the Sherman Baking Company until 1910, when he established the Philip Diehl & Sons Bakery, of which he was now president, and in charge of the bakery shop. He was a Republican and a member of the Second Presbyterian Church. Fraternally he belonged to the Royal Arcanum, and was past commander of K. O. T. M.
