General Notes: Husband - Robert Dewoody

He settled in Sandycreek Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, on a tract of four hundred and eleven acres, located west of his brother William, at the same time as his brother.

War of 1812: he was a private, serving as a substitute for his younger brother, Andrew, in the Sixth company, 132nd regiment of Pennsylvania militia, commanded by Lt. Col. Samuel Dale at Erie in 1813 and 1814. His brother, William, was a sergeant in the same company.

He was a carpenter by trade, but he supplemented his income by speculating in land.

He probably never married.
