General Notes: Husband - Howard Jason "Howdy" Dewoody


He served during the Spanish-American War in Porto Pico. He was enrolled May 7, 1898 in company E, Sixteenth Pennsylvania Volunteer infantry, and mustered out with his company as a private on December 28, 1898 at Cooperstown, Pennsylvania. He was in the battle of Coamo August 9, 1898.
