General Notes: Husband - Col. Samuel Davis


Civil War: He enlisted in Company C, One Hundred and Thirty-third Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, also serving throughout the war; after the war he served in the Pennsylvania National Guard, rising to the rank of colonel. He was an active politician and held many important offices. He was engaged in business with his brother Lemuel for seventeen years.
