General Notes: Husband - Hiram Davis


He served in the war of the Rebellion, first going out for three months with Capt. Dunn's company of the old Erie Regiment; served his time and re-enlisted in 1862 in Company B, One Hundred and Thirty-seventh Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, became Captain of the company and was honorably discharged after nine months' service. He was elected County Commissioner in November, 1881, and May 20, 1884, was nominated on the first ballot by his party for a second term, and defeated at the November election. In politics he was a stanch Democrat.
