General Notes: Husband - Harry Hibbert Davis, M.D.

He was born near New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, and received his primary education at Browns, Savannah, and East Moravia schools. He next went to New Castle and took an extra course, after which he completed the state normal course at Edinboro, Pennsylvania. Having completed his studies, he engaged in teaching, being instructor in Wampum township, Pennsylvania, for two years, and teaching later in Shenango township. In 1892 he became a medical student at the Western University of Pennsylvania, from which he was graduated in 1895. He immediately began the practice of his profession at Princeton, Pennsylvania, remaining there one year during which time he was exceedingly successful, but was persuaded by some friends to locate in Lottsville, Warren County, which he did in 1896, opening an office there.

He attended the Moravia public schools and the State Normal at Edinburg, after which he engaged in teaching four years. He was graduated from the medical department of Western University of Pennsylvania in 1895, but prior to that time had pursued the study of medicine under the preceptorship of Dr. Joseph Cooper, of New Castle. He engaged in practice in Warren County for six years, then located at Wampum, Lawrence County.
