General Notes: Husband - Robert J. Davidson

He carried on general farming in Big Beaver Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, owning 125 acres of some of the best land in that part of Lawrence County. It was situated on both sides of the road, was watered by two streams and was only one mile west of Wampum.
He was about one year old when his parents came to this farm and his boyhood was spent in attending the district school and in assisting in the clearing and cultivating of the land as far as his strength permitted. As he grew older he assumed more responsibilities and beginning in 1900 had charge of the property which he came to own. He spent his whole life there with the exception of eighteen months when he was in the employ of a railroad company in Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska. In 1880 he returned to his home.
The land was doubly valuable, a coal bank having been located which Mr. Davidson leased to Robert Edwards.
In his political views Mr. Davidson was a Republican, but he was not an office-seeker. From his youth he was a consistent member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of which he became both a steward and treasurer.
