General Notes: Husband - John Nesbit


He was one of the founders and an elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. In 1834 he was one of eight members to form the first Temperance Society there. He was the first burgess of Lewisburg elected under the Borough Charter in 1823. He was appointed justice of the peace, and in 1834 sat as a county delegate in the Democratic Convention at New Berlin.
