General Notes: Husband - Jacob Dambach

He was five years old when his parents moved into Connoquenessing Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, and he continued to make his home there until 1890, when he moved to Harmony and two years later to Zelienople, in the same year erecting a comfortable residence and four other houses on New Castle Street and four on Spring Street. He retained his valuable farm of 160 acres, situated in Connoquenessing Township, on which he followed farming and stock raising prior to moving to Harmony. He was also more or less engaged in the oil business for some years. In all his enterprises he showed the good judgment that marked the successful business man.
He and his wife were members of St. Peter's Reformed Church at Zelienople. In politics he was a Republican. He took an active interest in public affairs, served several years as a member of the town council at Zelienople and for many years he was a member of the School Board of Connoquenessing Township. For some years he was president of the German Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Zelienople.

He resided on his farm of 160 acres, which lay in the oil belt, a very valuable tract of land which was in the possession of the family for many years. The first oil well drilled on this farm produced 160 barrels of crude oil in one hour.

General Notes: Wife - Margaret Staff

She was born in Germany, and was brought to America when she was a child of three years. She was reared in Butler County, Pennsylvania.
