General Notes: Husband - A. Clark Dale

He and his wife were early pioneers of Graham township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.

He spent the first eight years of his life in his native town, and then went with his parents to Bradford township, Clearfield County, where he acquired his education in the public schools. He followed farming and lumbering, and for many years worked on the river. In 1849 he purchased a farm, then consisting of a tract of wild timber land. After his marriage he located on that property, and eventually was the owner of 210 acres of valuable land, of which 100 acres were under a high state of cultivation and well improved.
He was independent in politics, and served as overseer of the poor, and as a member of the school board. He and his wife were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church, of which society he was a trustee.
