The Cutshall family were among the early settlers of Venango County, PA. "Aunt Myrt," as she was affectionately known, was a skillful nurse to the rural community, and many were the hours, days, or nights she spent in ministering to others. She was something of a pharmacist, too, and one of her daughters continued to make a very effective salve according to her mother's directions.
