General Notes: Husband - Lot Watson

He was educated in the schools of Penn's Valley, Centre County, Pennsylvania, and in 1805, settled on a farm in what is now Neshannock township, Lawrence County, which he cleared and put in a high state of cultivation. The farm contained 157 acres, 100 of which were yearly put to various farm crops; it was admirably adapted to general farming and stock raising; it was situated about three miles north of New Castle.
He fought in the War of 1812. He was a Whig in his politics, and served the township of which he was a citizen as school-director, auditor, assessor, as well as in several minor capacities.
