General Notes: Husband - Hon. John T. Cunningham

He was a very prominent citizen of Wayne Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. His home was in the village of Chewton, where he served for twenty years in the office of justice of the peace. In 1844 he was elected a member of the Pennsylvania State Legislature, but his public career was cut short by his death after a brief illness, in the spring of 1845. He was a man of systematic habits and exceptional judgment. His docket, while justice of the peace, covering two decades, shows 640 cases.
The pages are immaculately clean and neat, not a single page revealing a blot. These records were later possessed by a grandchild, Mrs. A. D. Morns, wife of the court stenographer of Lawrence County. In the fall of 1844, he was elected a member of the General Assembly, but did not live to complete his term in that office.

General Notes: Wife - Rachel Davidson

She died January 8, 1830, lacking one day of being thirty years of age. [TCHNCLC, 825] But the same source gives dates of birth for her children in the late 1830s.
