General Notes: Husband - George Cunningham


He was a native of Scotland, and came to America in 1802, with his wife and two children. He took up 218 acres of land [in then Huntingdon, later Blair County?]. He was the father of twelve children, six sons and six daughters, all of whom attained maturity. He and his wife were members of Lebanon Church; politically he was a republican.
He was the father of twelve children.

He was born in Pennsylvania, east of the mountains, and after coming west lived a short time in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, but as early as 1804 came to Allegheny County, where he bought 218 acres of land.
