General Notes: Husband - William A. Long


He received his education in the public schools and learned the trade of carpenter. He moved to Freeport, Pennsylvania, with his father in the year of 1840, where he engaged in the business of contracting and building. He carried on a profitable business until about 1887, when he retired from active business. He was a charter member of the Lutheran church at Freeport, in which he filled a number of offices. He was always an active worker in politics, and was a Republican.
