MOORES JUNCTION
John Cummings died Wednesday evening of complications of diseases after three or four months' illness. He was 31 years of age and has lived in Adams a number of years. About eight years ago he was married to Miss Daisy Lusher and came to Moores Junction where they resided until he sold his property and moved with his family to Flint. He is survived by his wife, two little boys, six and four years old, his mother and one brother. John was a young man of good habits and was well respected throughout the community. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon from the school house. Services were conducted by M. Humphrey.

General Notes: Wife - Daisy Pearl Lusher

When she was a young woman, she stepped in a frozen cow track, fell and broke her foot. Proper medical treatment was not available at that time, so the injury was allowed to heal on its own and she walked with a limp the rest of her life. Later in life, her hair caught fire from a stove and part of her scalp was so badly burned that the hair did not grow back there. She combed the rest of her hair to cover it.
