General Notes: Husband - John Culbertson

He moved from Pennsylvania to Lawrence County, Ohio; then removed to Greenup County, Kentucky; was there a few years; after that removed again to Lawrence County, Ohio. He was first engaged in the iron business in Adams County, Ohio. Engaged in same business in Lawrence County, without much success, but after that was engaged in the Lawrence Furnace, Lawrence County, in which business he remained until his death. After being engaged in this business for some years he succeeded in accumulating a fortune of not less than $160,000. He was one of the most respected and prominent citizens of southern Ohio.
