General Notes: Husband - John Crowell

The original progenitor of this family in America, he immigrated to the New World in the first half of the eighteenth century, and landed in the city of Philadelphia on the 19th day of August, 1729. Notwithstanding his age he served in the revolution. (See Pennsylvania Archives, second series, vol. 13, page 619.) He maintained his home for some time in Philadelphia, after which he removed to Chester County, Pennsylvania, where he passed the closing years of his life.
