General Notes: Husband - William Carlisle Cross


With his father, he was engaged in the furnace business, jointly owning several furnaces in Venango County, Pennsylvania. He was for some time involved in the oil business on Oil creek, but being not altogether successful in that line, took up the mercantile calling until his death.

He served as treasurer of Venango County. [CAB, 603]
