Born in Centre Co, PA. [HVC 1890, 1118]
He was a substantial farmer, owning land in Richland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, and became one of the prominent men of his neighborhood. After clearing and improving one farm there he removed to a larger one, where he remained until his death. [HVC 1919, 432]
