General Notes: Husband - John Creighton

He learned the trade of carpenter in his native land. He was the first of the family to come to the United States, and he settled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he engaged in contracting and building. He was prosperous in business and became the owner of Pittsburgh real estate, the site where the jail in that city was later erected being a portion of his property. He was an Episcopalian in religion and a Republican in politics.

He and his wife were the parents of three sons and one daughter.
