Samuel Lewis Heckathorne
Samuel Lewis Heckathorne, 79, of Buffalo, N.Y., formerly of Oil City, died Friday in Buffalo. He had been hospital­ized the past month.
Born January 16, 1908, at Victory Heights, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Heckathorne.
He was a retired employee of the Penn Central Railroad.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mary E. Crawford; five children, Lewis Heckathorne Jr., Richard Hecka­thorne, David Heckathorne, Mrs. Richard (Betty Lou) Nie­man and Mrs. Glenn (Caroline) Von Wald; four sisters, Myrtle Snyder of Franklin, Mildred Coon of Reno, Bertha Ace of Franklin and Dorothy Beers of Oil City; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Loomis Memorial Chapel in Buffalo, N.Y.
