He was a native of Ireland, and came with his parents to America when a young man, settled in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, and there married. Both resided in Arm­strong County until their death, leaving a family of four sons and two daughters. Mr. Crawford was a prominent citizen in his community, held various positions of trust, and both he and wife were respected members of the United Presbyterian church at Middlesex.
